Shot a few weeks ago on a really miserable Scottish wet soggy day. We got very wet doing this shoot. We also spied pirates in the park, the world is a fabulous place when everyone is something they're not. More people should dress up to just wander about.

Hi guys

Been a bit quiet lately, gearing up to starting to shoot in Sept. Been busy organising make up artists, stylists and meet ups with other photographers in Scotland, play dates and such like.

The good news is today I got my first daily deviation award on deviant art. I'm super chuffed as the exposure you get via that is huge and I've made loads of new friends and watchers as a result.

Suddenly, The breathless hush of 4 a.m by *WakenTheDead appeared in my message centre and I just knew I had to DD it, so I hushed it immediately to the DD-cave. Its vibrant colours struck me like a bang, a Big Bang! Behold the good use of colours; be amazed at the details in such a simple frame, and the overall feeling of this composition! Now that I'm back on track and feeling better I'll be sending out updates and casting calls via my mailing list. This is a new piece featuring the work of a corset designer that I did a shoot for back in January. I've just finished processing it and there are still a few more shots to come from this shoot.

Hi Guys


It's been a while since my last update so firstly apologies to anyone who has messaged me recently and not heard back from me, I've not been online. Some of you may know that I've been waiting for surgery and I'm happy to report I've had that surgery - had my gallbladder removed about a week ago and am now home and resting,happy in my pyjamas. Thanks to those of you who have emailed me, sent me cards and left little notes or text messages, you guys are really really kind. The operation went smoothly and I have some really cool scars, my tummy looks like a treasure map with crosses and stitches everywhere.

I'm looking forward to getting back to normal health - for the whole of 2008 so far I've been unable to do any shoots with models and I'm itching to get back into it. Good news is that from September I will be again accepting bookings and TFP offers for models/MUA's. Full studio service available as well as Location shoots. Get in touch if you want to book a private shoot, my rates are v. reasonable, or to discuss a TFP project.

I've been awol for a few weeks due to ill health. Whilst I'm waiting for my surgery to remove my gall bladder, which happens at the end of the month, I can't do any formal portrait photography as planning and shooting is just too sore. So to keep myself occupied I've just been carrying my camera with me whenever I go anywhere and the result is a few flower images. It's a mile away from my normal genre of gothic and fetish based portraits but I like it and it's always nice to diversify.

The more and more I experiment with my flower images, the more I actually enjoy it. I always thought I'd just shoot people/portraits but along the way I've also been shooting bits n bobs with a view at somewhere and somepoint in time being able to do something with them. Trying to give this cloud some silver lining - my looming surgery is meaning that I can take a step back from shooting with models to re-editing some old work that has never made it out of my hard drive. I hope you enjoy.

This was taken at the end of a fashion shoot for a corset designer when we were just mucking around. The model is also a famous make up artist and she teaches make up artistry. I saw her kit bag which was stuffed with clown wigs, noses etc for a class she was teaching later that day on circus make up techniques - so I grabbed a wig, and a gas mask from my kit bag (every respecting photographer has a gas mask - it's part of the kit for some reason!) and plonked it on her.

To be honest, these shots came out much better than the actual posed ones - these were fired off, we were giggling like little girls and it was just the best time. Sometimes shoots just go like that!
